Incurred as a result of Political Conference to lesbian perspectives in Europe, which took place in March 2011 in Dresden, L-talk.org offers a platform for international exchange of the development of the respective rights and lesbian politics.
In many Eastern European countries there is still a restrictive policy towards homosexuality, and much more discrimination in everyday life, when Western Europeans are used: discrimination by the Catholic Church, by outdated social norms, patriarchal structures.
L-talk would like to support Eastern European lesbian activists in their struggle for human rights and against discrimination based on sexual identity.
The legislation at European level is one thing, and we are pleased that the EU has made gender equality a central concern. Another thing is the solidarity and mutual support. Lesbian women are for one another, and what L-talk is concerned, this is done through information and mutual regard, not least by the existence of readers of contemporary witnesses.

Entstanden als ein Ergebnis der Politischen Konferenz zu lesbischen Perspektiven in Europa, die im März 2011 in Dresden stattgefunden hat, bietet L-talk.org eine Plattform zum internationalen Austausch der Entwicklung der jeweiligen Lesbenrechte und der Lesbenpolitik.
In vielen osteuropäischen Staaten gibt es nach wie vor eine restriktive Politik gegenüber Homosexualität und weitaus mehr Diskriminierung im Alltag, als Westeuropäerinnen es gewohnt sind: Diskriminierung durch die katholische Kirche, durch überkommene gesellschaftliche Normen, durch patriarchale Strukturen.
L-talk möchte osteuropäische lesbische Aktivistinnen in ihrem Kampf für Menschenrechte und gegen Diskriminierung wegen der sexuellen Identität unterstützen.
Die Gesetzgebung auf europäischer Ebene ist eine Sache, und wir sind froh darüber, dass die EU Gleichstellungspolitik zu einem zentralen Anliegen gemacht hat. Eine andere Sache ist die Solidarität und gegenseitige Unterstützung. Lesbische Frauen stehen füreinander ein; und was L-talk betrifft, geschieht das durch gegenseitige Information und Kenntnisnahme, nicht zuletzt durch die Existenz von Leserinnen als Zeitzeuginnen.
